Jennifer Lawrence May Head Out To The Ends Of The Earth
Jennifer Lawrence is now one of the most popular actresses in Hollywood, and it's not exactly a challenge to see why. In 2010 she earned an Oscar nomination for Best Actress in Winter's Bone; in 2011 she starred in three movies, including the blockbuster X-Men: First Class, and then this year she broke box office records with The Hunger Games. Her upcoming schedule is jam packed, with movies like House at the End of the Street and Silver Linings Playbook arriving in the next few months, but also The Hunger Games and X-Men: First Class sequels are going to start production very soon. Still not enough for you? Well, now she's getting prepared to take on yet another project.
The Weinstein Company has announced that Lawrence is now in talks to star in the upcoming film The Ends of the Earth. The story is based on the true story of Ernest Marland, a powerful oil tycoon, who loses everything after he begins an affair with Lydie, his adopted daughter. The Weinstein Company will finance and distribute the project, which is being written by Chris Terrio (Argo). The search for a director is currently underway. The studio press release doesn't say which character Lawrence will play.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire will be going into production this fall and X-Men: Days of Future Past will start shooting this January. Don't get too excited too quickly for The Ends of the Earth, because there's a very good chance it will be a while before we actually get to see it.
