Judd Apatow Reunites With Paul Rudd To Produce His Next Film
Role Models and I Love You Man are pretty good and performed well at the box office, so why not do another Judd Apatow/Paul Rudd film? My thoughts and Apatow’s thoughts exactly.
While chatting with MTV on the red carpet for the Time 100 gala, Apatow explained that despite the cast and filmmaker’s interest, Anchorman 2 will not be his next project, but a new project with Rudd is. "I'm producing a movie that Paul Rudd's in that's shooting in the fall which David Wain wrote with Ken Marino, and they're going to announce that soon." So not only will this film reunite Apatow and Rudd, but Wain and Marino too, both of whom co-wrote Role Models with Rudd.
Clearly there’s little to get too excited about at the moment, but hopefully when that official announcement is made we’ll get a sense of where the guys are going with this one. The tweet which tipped off MTV about the topic didn’t reveal much either. Of Apatow’s four tweet long feed, number two says, “Day two of writing my next film. Kicked some ideas around with Paul Rudd. Then downloaded music onto ipad for several hours.” The account actually looks bogus and doesn’t have that verified emblem, but Apatow doesn’t refute the findings in the video.
