Just a day after Lionsgate acknowledged the 74-day countdown to the release of The Hunger Games with information about advance ticket sales, a new still from the film has been released, giving us a look at Katniss and Peeta as they gear up for the 74th Annual Hunger Games.

Based on a novel by Suzanne Collins, The Hunger Games is set in the future and follows Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence), a teen who is one of two kids set to represent District 12 in a battle-to-the-death “game” set up by the evil government of Panem (future-North America), the Capitol. Entertainment Weekly shared the photo below, which features Katniss and her fellow District 12 tribute Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) on a mat in what could be the training center, likely preparing for the games.



Don’t they look fashionable in their matching outfits? Note the “12” on their sleeves. And given the nature of what they’re preparing for, the seriousness of their expressions is certainly fitting.
