Lee Butler has already gotten some great actors to play presidential roles in his upcoming film The Butler. Robin Williams is attached as Dwight D. Eisenhower, James Marsden will play John F. Kennedy, and John Cusack will portray Richard Nixon. Today the Oscar-nominated filmmaker found another yet another POTUS.

According to Deadline, Liev Schreiber is all set to play President Lyndon B. Johnson in the upcoming drama. The film is based on the true story of Eugene Allen, who worked as a butler in the White House over the course of eight separate presidencies. The timetable of the plot will tackle more than thirty years of American history, a period that included the civil rights movement, the Vietnam War and the assassinations of great figures like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., President John F. Kennedy and Senator Robert Kennedy. Forest Whitaker will play Allen while Oprah Winfrey and David Oyelowo will play his wife and son. Also attached to the star-studded affair are Alan Rickman, Jane Fonda (as Nancy Reagan), Minka Kelly (as Jackie Kennedy), Mariah Carey, Vaness Redgrave, Alex Pettyfer and Jesse Williams. Danny Strong co-wrote the script with Daniels and Quincy Jones is attached to compose the music.

Schreiber and Johnson really don't look anything alike, but looking at some of the casting choices made so far it's clear that the make-up budget on this film is already going to be out of this world, so why not? Schreiber is a talented actor and his performance should elevate beyond his appearance. The Butler is currently in production.
