In preparation for The Hunger Games -- which, if you haven’t heard, opens everywhere on March 23 – select members of the film's cast and crew will be making stops in key cities (call them Districts) the week of March 3-10 to meet with press and fans and help raise awareness for Gary Ross’s sci-fi thriller.

Ross will accompany Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth in Los Angeles for the start of the tour, which will make stops in Atlanta, Minneapolis, Chicago, Phoenix, Miami, Dallas and more. The Twilight films managed a similar feat, taking over shopping malls in major U.S. cities for talent meet-and-greets and fan signings. Right off the bat, I give credit to Lawrence, who looks to be making appearances at as many of the city stops as possible. Granted, she should. She’s Katniss Everdeen, and if she can survive the Hunger Games, she can brave the starving hordes of media members.

Each stop will include a Q&A event where fans will have a chance to ask questions of their favorite cast members and participate in giveaways to win a limited-edition Hunger Games HP Folio PC from the Microsoft Store or additional Hunger Games gear.
