Michael Caine Says That He Will Be In Christopher Nolan's Next Project

Michael Caine and Christopher Nolan must have made a strong connection on the set of Batman Begins because the director doesn't seem to want to make a movie without the actor anymore. While Nolan does have a habit of reuniting with his cast members - almost the entire Inception line-up is in The Dark Knight Rises - nobody has worked with the filmmaker more times than Caine, who had roles in the Batman Begins, The Prestige, The Dark Knight, Inception and The Dark Knight Rises. And if you think that their working relationship is going to end just because there's no more Batman you've got it dead wrong.

Empire recently had the chance to speak with Caine and during their conversation the actor revealed that he and Nolan have already begun talking about doing another project together. Asked how he feels about the director ending his run with Batman, Caine said, "He's got to go on, he's got some other idea, and I'm in it! I've been in everything he's done since he's been in Hollywood. We're each others' good luck charms. I always say to him, 'I'm not your good luck charm, you are mine!'"

As exciting as Caine's involvement with the project is, I will say that the most exciting part of that quote is that Nolan has "got some other idea." The last time Nolan got to work on an original screenplay of his own the result was one of the most mind-bending, cerebral, awesome blockbusters of all time. One can only imagine the possibilities, but Whatever he has in store for us we're waiting with bated breath.
