In the middle of the brutal fight going on between Warner Brothers and Fox, it’s easy to lose sight over what’s at stake here. We’re talking about a movie - a movie that hasn’t even been released yet. Sure, the book it’s based on is the best selling graphic novel of all time, but the movie could tank, right?
Yeah, I thought that originally, but that was until that first kick-ass trailer was unleashed upon the world, showing that, at least visually, Zack Snyder has gotten it right again. Hard to believe this is the guy who did that Dawn of the Dead remake.
If you could use another reminder of just how awesome Watchmen is looking, or if you want to know what all the fuss is about, MySpace has gotten a new featurette up that sums up the basic story of the movie. It shows some new footage we haven’t gotten to see yet, but mostly it just rocks.
I’d be lying if I said I didn’t think the timing on this was a little suspect - with the litigation surrounding the movie suddenly taking the spotlight, wouldn’t it make sense for Warner Brothers to remind fans why this movie looks cool, and how evil Fox would be if it kept this movie from being seen? Maybe it’s just me looking for a conspiracy, but it makes sense if you think about it.
Check out the featurette below. Thanks to Screenrant for bringing the featurette to our attention.
