Operation Kino Podcast #38: The Muppets And Hugo Reviewed

discussioncomments published: 2011-11-23 08:28:53 Author: Katey Rich
This week on Operation Kino we're getting right down to business: there are a ton of movies coming to theaters this weekend, and in particular two kid-friendly movies that are both worth your time (actually there are 3, but we didn't review Arthur Christmas this time). Absent David, who was lost in the throes of filmmaker at the time, the rest of the crew reviews The Muppets and Hugo, and lest you think it's nothing but a love-in, Katey and Patches both think The Muppets should have been better. Before that we kick things off with a Lightning Round devoted to Black Friday consumerism, then move on to tidbits, in which Da7e is amused by Herman Cain's strange embrace of pop culture, Patches doesn't want you to give him DVDs for Christmas this year, and Katey is really, really enjoying The Sing Off. We end with another lightning round for dessert.

You may notice the home of Operation Kino is looking a little different, and may we say spiffier. Kino Katey is no longer, and while you'll still be able to find those features like Virgin Territory and other video blogs at Cinema Blend, Operation Kino has gotten a well-deserved home of its own. It's a change, but definitely for the better!

Take a listen below and find your downloading options; for more from all of us, you can follow the show (@opkino), Da7e (@da7e), David (@davidehrlich or @CriterionCorner), Patches (@misterpatches) and me (@kateyrich) on Twitter.
