Patton Oswalt And Johnny Knoxville Face Off In Nature Calls Green Band Trailer

Turns out Moonrise Kingdom isn't the only comedy this year that contains an overzealous but incompetent scoutmaster. But while Edward Norton's Scout Master Ward may have lost one member of his troop to a puppy love-inspired escape plan, the schlubby scoutmaster played by Patton Oswalt in the SXSW-selected Nature Calls can't keep even a single member of his Boy Scout troop from abandoning him.
In the R-rated comedy, Oswalt stars as Randy, a troop leader who—despite his best efforts—can't get his scouts excited about survival skills or camping. As a result, his ranks are dwindling fast. But when the last of his scouts stand him up to attend a TV-themed sleepover at the home of his obnoxious brother Kirk (Johnny Knoxville), Randy decides if he can't win them back, he'll steal them back. And so, he kidnaps the boys, forcing them to go on the camping adventure that they'll never forget—in part because Kirk and his brawl-ready buds are in hot pursuit. Check out this wild comedy's green band trailer below, or see it in hi-res at Apple: Much like writer-director Todd Rohal's last outing, the Sundance-selected comedy The Catechism Cataclysm, Nature Calls takes to the wilderness to explore a fractured fraternal relationship from a darkly comedic point of view. Bolstered by a supporting cast that includes Rob Riggle, Patrice O'Neal and Maura Tierney, Nature Calls promises plenty of raunchy and wild jokes that should appeal to audiences raised on Meatballs and The Bad News Bears. Of course, with an R-rating the bar for bawdy humor is raised. To see what was deemed unsuitable for general audience consumption, check out the Nature Calls red band trailer that adds some blue language and bare boobs to the mix. Nature Calls will be available on iTunes October 4th and a theatrical release will follow November 9th. Back to top
