Prepare To Be Creeped Out By The New Trailer For We Need To Talk About Kevin

Parents are supposed to love their children. It's a matter of evolution: mom and dad take care of junior until he/she is strong enough to be on their own and continue the bloodline. But it doesn't always work out perfectly. Sometimes there are mutations or mistakes. Sometimes things can go very, very wrong. When it does you get something like the relationship between Tilda Swinton and Ezra Miller in We Need To Talk About Kevin. And by that I mean you get something horrifying.

The new trailer for the upcoming drama has been released online. Check it out below or in HD over on Apple.

I've been hearing great buzz about this film for months, but only now am I incredibly interested in seeing it. Not only does Miller look absolutely terrifying, if the performance by Tilda Swinton is as powerful as advertised the movie could be one of the best of the year. Frankly, the most amazing thing about it is how little John C. Reilly is in the movie yet how great it looks anyway. The movie is based on the book of the same name by Lionel Shriver and was adapted by both Rory Kinnear and Lynne Ramsay (who also directed the film). The film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and has since been shown at Telluride, Fantastic Fest and many other international festivals. We Need To Talk About Kevin will be released in New York and Los Angeles on December 9th (to qualify for Oscar season) and will go wide on January 27th next year. The film is Ramsey's first since 2002's Morvern Callar.
