Because Thanksgiving means bringing families together, it also means creating activities for kids to do before you feel the need to blow your brains out. This is why November tends to be a very child-friendly month of the year. This year alone the calendar is stuffed with titles like The Muppets, Happy Feet Two and Arthur Christmas. Naturally all of these films are going to be in heavy competition with each other, so one movie has decided to make a change.

We have received an email announcing that Dreamworks Animation's Puss in Boots, a spin-off from the long-running Shrek franchise. Has moved its release date from November 4th to October 28th. Formerly up against wide releases like A Very Harold And Kumar 3D Christmas and Tower Heist, the movie will now showdown with In Time, The Rum Diary, Anonymous and Johnny English Reborn. While the movie was never in direct competition with any of the other kids movies in the second-to-last month, the move gives Puss In Boots an extra week before the audience is split. The film will be released in Real D 3D, IMAX 3D and 2D.

Featuring the voices of Antonio Banderas, Salma Hayek, Zach Galifianakis, Billy Bob Thornton, and Amy Sedaris, the film follows the heroic feline before he met up with Shrek, Donkey and Fiona as he goes on a hunt to capture the goose that lays the golden eggs. The film was directed by Chris Miller (Shrek The Third) and written by Brian Lynch, David H. Steinberg, Tom Wheeler, Jon Zack.
