This makes sense: The Razzies have decided to move their annual awards ceremony to April Fool’s Day.

"We want to try something different this year," Razzie founder John Wilson told the popular awards-tracking Web site GoldDerby.com. "It's like the year the Indie Spirits left the beach to go downtown. If it doesn't work out, we'll go back to the beach, so to speak, but this is a fun idea we've always wanted to do."

I think it’s also safe to say that the latest Twilight and Transformers sequels will do “well” at the Razzies, as their predecessors have blazed a trail of … um, failure? I don’t know what to call it. I mean, an award is an award, and if Sandra Bullock’s willing to stop by the Razzies to pick up her trophy for All About Steve, then we should treat them a little seriously. Right?
