Much like the previous titles in the series, Shawn Levy's upcoming Night At The Museum 3 has managed to assemble a talented ensemble cast to feature around star Ben Stiller. Robin Williams, Owen Wilson, and Steve Coogan are all set to reprise their roles from the earlier and it's already been reported that both Ricky Gervais and Downton Abbey's Dan Stevens will be new additions to the franchise, but now Deadline is reporting that comedienne Rebel Wilson is set to join the party as well.

While the first movie was set in New York City's American Museum of Natural History and the second took place in Washington DC's Smithsonian Institution, the next sequel will be sending the characters to London's British Museum. The script has been worked on by both Thomas Lennon & Robert Ben Garant and David Guion & Michael Handelman, but at this time there isn't much information available regarding what the central plot of the film will be. Wilson will play a night guard at the museum.

Wilson got her big break starring as the world's worst roomate in Paul Feig's 2011 comedy Bridesmaids, and her popularity has only gone up since. She had an incredibly busy 2012 on the big screen, starring in the What To Expect When You're Expecting, Ice Age: Continental Drift, Pitch Perfect, Bachelorette, and Struck By Lightning, but changed things up a bit last year.

Her biggest feature role came playing Anthony Mackie's wife in Michael Bay's ridiculously over-the-top dark crime comedy Pain & Gain...

But then she changed things up when she decided to head to American television and star in the series Super Fun Night:

Likely because of her commitment to her television show, Wilson doesn't have any movies other than Night At the Museum 3 coming out this year, but she does have some big plans for 2015. She will be lending her voice to an unspecified character in DreamWorks Animations' Kung Fu Panda 3, and once again playing Fat Amy in the comedy sequel Pitch Perfect 2.

20th Century Fox is producing Night At The Museum 3, which has been scheduled for release on Christmas Day. Deadline's article doesn't specify when production is planning on starting, but one can assume that it won't be long until cameras are rolling.
