In his time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe Iron Man has had to go up against some pretty hardcore opponents. In the first movie there was Obadiah Stane aka Iron Monger (Jeff Bridges), who set up Tony Stark to be captured by terrorists and then stole his arc reactor to power his own suit. Then in Iron Man 2 there was Ivan Vanko aka Whiplash (Mickey Rourke), who not only had a serious grudge against the Stark family, but also the genius and ingenuity to build his own specialized armor. And then, of course, there was The Avengers where the metal hero had to go up against both the power-hungry God of Mischief Loki (Tom Hiddleston) as well as the insanely huge Chitauri army.

But as powerful as all those villains are, it's pretty impossible to stack up to The Mandarin. The terrorist leader is the superhero's greatest and most powerful foe from the comics and judging from the first trailer he's going to do quite a nice job completely destroying Tony Stark in the upcoming Iron Man 3. So it's no puzzle why he looks a bit worse for wear in the film's latest poster.

In conjunction with the Super Bowl trailer teaser that was released earlier today, Marvel Studios and Disney have sent out some brand new artwork from the blockbuster. Scope it out below and click to see it in its highest resolution.

Iron Man 3 is directed and co-written by Shane Black and stars Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, James Badge Dale, Ashley Hamilton, Jon Favreau, and Sir Ben Kingsley as The Mandarin.
