Snow White And The Huntsman Video Has Kristen Stewart Discussing Her Character
So much of what we've seen of the Snow White and the Huntsman leading up to this weekend's release has showcased what looks to be a great performance by Charlize Theron as the evil queen Ravenna. That includes the recently released featurette, which has Theron discussing her character and how she connects with her. Today we have a look at one of the title characters. Kristen Stewart has also found some positive things to say about her own character. Of course, that may prove to be less of a challenge for her, given that she's playing the heroine.
Stewart will hopefully be showing us the less-helpless side to Bella Swan when the The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 arrives in theaters this November. Much sooner than that, she'll be see on the big screen as Snow White in the Rupert Sanders directed Snow White and the Huntsman, which arrives in theaters Friday, June 1. Based on what she has to say in this newly released featurette, courtesy of iTunes, she's really excited about the character she's playing, as she discusses how affected she was by Snow White, calling her a strong life force, a caretaker and a total badass…
It's great to see a promo that emphasizes Snow White's strength and also shows the character in action, quite literally. Stewart offered some interesting commentary on some of what Snow White has been through leading the challenge she faces against Ravenna...
"I come out of prison completely stunted. She's so young and all she remembers is years of lecherous, disgusting people that are draining her life force. When she comes out, the earth gives it back to her. Mother nature cannot wait to just give her the power to take it back."
Whether or not this proves to be a solid performance by Stewart remains to be seen, but it certainly looks like an exciting role to play and one she was eager to bring to life for the movie.
Snow White and the Huntsman arrives in theaters this weekend. More information, photos and videos from the film can be found in our Blend Film Database.
