Steve Carell And Steve Buscemi Look Equally Strange In Burt Wonderstone Set Photos
Steve Buscemi and Steve Carell aren't usually the subjects of paparazzi photos, so I guess it's a good thing they had Olivia Wilde with them on the set of Burt Wonderstone in Las Vegas, so some nosy photographers could give us our first look at the upcoming comedy. She's playing the love interest in the comedy about rival Vegas magicians, played by Carell and Jim Carrey, but she was caught between Carell and Buscemi during the recent shoot, which had the actors inside some kind of glass box in what looked like a David Blaine-esque stunt. Check out two of the photos posted by Socialite Life below.
![]() ![]() Wilde looks polished and perfect, as usual, but between Buscemi and Carell it's hard to say who looks odder-- Buscemi with his bleached blond hair? Carell in his slightly plaid suit and stern demeanor? While Carell is the magician, Buscemi has been described as playing his friend who quits the business, while Wilde starts off as Carell's assistant before defecting over to Jim Carrey's side. Based on all that, I'm guessing this scene takes place at the beginning of the movie, before everyone splits apart. Maybe something in this stunt goes horribly wrong? Or maybe there's an ego lurking there under Carell's character, and it's all about to explode in some other way. Directed by Don Scardino, a veteran of 30 Rock among other TV shows, Burt Wonderstone has an enormous and starry supporting cast, including Brad Garrett, Jay Mohr, and James Gandolfini, who was photographed posing with none other than David Copperfield in a photo tweeted by Copperfield himself. Burt Wonderstone doesn't have a release date in place yet, but we might be able to expect it later this year if production continues on pace. |
