New Still From Argo Has Ben Affleck Leading A Meeting
We've commented on it multiple times here on Cinema Blend, but it's still amazing how Ben Affleck has managed to turn his career around. After making a series of truly awful box office bombs, the man reinvented himself as a director and has since made two Oscar nominated films in Gone Baby Gone and The Town. As a result, Argo, Affleck's third effort, is very high on our "Anticipated in 2012" list, but it's not just because of who is behind the camera. The actor turned filmmaker has brought together an outrageously amazing cast that includes himself, Alan Arkin, John Goodman, Bryan Cranston, Kyle Chandler, , Rory Cochrane, Titus Welliver, Clea DuVall, Michael Parks, Richard Kind and many, many others.
We've already gotten our first look at Affleck in the film, rocking a heavy beard and looking through some files, but now Warner Bros. has released a new still from the movie that shows off some of his cohorts. Check it out below and head over to Coming Soon to see it full size.
I don't know if it's because of the quality of the photo, the angle at which we are seeing the room, or the detailed costumes, but I honestly cannot name an actor in this room other than Ben Affleck. Seriously, I can named more actors in his shot from Snow White and the Huntsman and that photo has actors that have been digitally shrunk down to look like dwarves. I think that may be Scoot McNairy in the blue shirt leaning forward on the sofa, but I can't be certain. Argo tells the true story of a rescue mission in Iran when a group of CIA agents faked the production of a movie in order to help rescue six American hostages being held captive during the revolution. The film is set to be released on September 14th (the same weekend that The Town came out in 2010) and you can read more about the project in our Blend Film Database. |
