Terry Gilliam recently watched his Don Quixote project fall apart once again, which means the director of Time Bandits and Brazil is, again, unemployed. While he waits to figure out the next move-- maybe converting Time Bandits to 3D?-- he's taking on an entirely different animal: a commercial for Pepsi. With David Arquette, and David Arquette's mullet.
The short film, which inevitably will be edited into oblivion to fit 30-second ad spaces, is called The Legend of Talladega. Bleeding Cool got their hands on a set of photos Arquette has been posting on his Twitter and he looks god damn ridiculous in the best way. We don’t have any major details from the story, but from what I can gather from these pictures I’d say it’s going to be about a NASCAR super-fan who is sustained by his Pepsi life-blood. That’s what the goggles, stock cars, and amazing mullet imply, at least. We also find out that Arquette has wrapped up on Scream 4, so expect to start seeing teasers for that before end of year. Earlier Bleeding Cool had gotten a little more detail about the project, which suggested it might be a mockumentary as well as a ghost story-- perfectly weird for Gilliam. Pepsi hasn’t hinted about when we should see The Legend of Talladega premiere online or otherwise, so we'll bring you more on this once they get the thing put together. Check out some pics below and the rest over at Bleeding Cool. ![]() ![]() Back to top
