The Adventures of Tintin Trailer Arrives And Fails To Explain Itself
This summer is absolutely packed to the gills with blockbusters. We have comic book movies, tentpoles comedies, huge action flicks and many, many more that we have barely scene a frame from. Now we're bringing you a trailer for a film that won't be out until December.
Following the posters that were released earlier today, Apple has posted the first teaser trailer for The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn. Directed by Steven Spielberg, the film is the first feature adaptation of the internationally-known Belgian comic strip and stars Jamie Bell, Andy Serkis, Daniel Craig, Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, and many more.
Check out the teaser below or in HD over on Apple.
As hyped as Tintin has been, I must admit that I really didn't like this trailer. Sure, the visuals are pretty cool and I will give it a little leeway because it is only a teaser, but can anybody, based on this video alone, explain what this movie is about? It's basically a random series of action sequences with out-of-context dialogue layered on top. The talent alone is enough for me to be interested in this film - Spielberg, Peter Jackson and Edgar Wright is a hard triumvirate to ignore - but we can only hope that the advertising gets a little clearer as the months pass.
