Tina Fey To Star In The Nest, Pitch Perfect Director In Talks
Tina Fey's television commitment came to an end last week when 30 Rock, the show she created, produced, wrote and acted in for the last seven years, aired its series finale. While it was a sad time for fans, what they do have to look forward is a blossoming big screen career for the mulch-hyphenate. Not only does she have the new comedy Admission coming out soon, she is currently filming the upcoming Muppets sequel - The Muppets...Again! - in London. But that's not all!
Deadline has learned that Fey is attached to star as one of two feuding sisters in the new comedy The Nest. Director Jason Moore, who had a surprise hit last year with the well-reviewed a Capella comedy Pitch Perfect, is now in talks to helm the feature and the script was written by Paula Pell (who not only wrote with Fey on 30 Rock and Saturday Night Live, but had a recurring role on the sitcom as well). The story is about two sisters" who suddenly discover that their parents have put their home up for sale. With the deal set to close, the siblings "spend a last wild weekend together, bonding and feuding and finally growing up." It doesn't seem as though a shooting schedule is in place, but the site says it will be the next film for Moore and quite possibly the next one for Fey.
Admission, which co-stars Paul Rudd, will be in theaters on March 22nd and The Muppets...Again! is slated for - funny enough - March 21, 2014.
