Todd Phillips Promises The Return Of Mr. Chow And More Surprises In The Hangover 2![]()
We've known for a while now that The Hangover 2 would be filming in Thailand starting this fall, and that Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis would be reprising their roles for the sequel, but director Todd Phillips managed to drop a little more information during his recent chat with Empire Magazine. For starters, he promised some "fucked-up surprises" in the film, which actually takes place in Thailand and Los Angeles. Among those surprises will be the return of Mr. Chow, the Chinese gangster memorably played by Community's Ken Jeong in the first film.
I have no idea how a gangster based in Vegas will make his way over to Thailand, or if the joke will still be as funny when you're actually expecting him to jump out of the trunk of a car naked, but I think we can probably count on Phillips and company to bring at least a few unexpected things to the table. Filming gets started later this month, and if set spies in Thailand are good to us, we might start seeing some photographic evidence of all this very, very soon. |
