Tommy Lee Jones Now The Front Runner For Great Hope Springs?

It's been a long, hard path trying to find Meryl Streep a husband. No, this is not an announcement regarding a new reality series. I am referring to the upcoming David Frankel film Great Hope Springs. Centered around a married couple who realize their struggling and enter an intense counseling weekend led by a marriage therapist played by Steve Carell. While Streep has been confirmed to play the wife for months now, both Jeff Bridges and James Gandolfini have been previously suggested for the other half. Now the actress may have found a new beau. Deadline is reporting from unnamed sources that Tommy Lee Jones may now be stepping into the part. While nothing has been confirmed or any papers signed, the site says that he is now the frontrunner.

The most interesting thing about this whole process is that Bridges, Gandolfini and Jones are all completely different actors. While all of them are certainly talented, Bridges is best known for being completely laid back, Gandolfini has made a career out of being formidable and nobody plays gruff better than Jones. I just hope they are rewriting the script while all of these names are being thrown around.
