Twilight Bit Players Get Big Money To Return For Breaking Dawn
Having had the displeasure of being around many Twilight fans, it has become abundantly clear that the only cast members fans really care about are Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, while the rest can go die in a fire. How many fans decided to swear off the series after Bryce Dallas Howard came in to replace Rachelle Lefevre? None. Meanwhile, if Edward or Jacob were recast there would be riots on the streets and the town of Forks, Washington would be burned to the ground. Apparently, nobody told this to the execs over at Summit Entertainment.
Summit tells us that Peter Facinelli, Ashley Greene, Kellan Lutz, Jackson Rathbone, Elizabeth Reaser, and Nikki Reed have all officially signed on for the fourth installment in the franchise, Breaking Dawn. According to various reports, the actors were asking for as much as $4 million each and the studio was apparently more than willing to comply. In the series, the six actors play the roles of Dr. Carlisle Cullen, Alice Cullen, Emmet Cullen, Jasper Hale, Esme Cullen, and Rosalie Hale, respectively.
Twenty-four million dollars. Ironically, that is the same figure I would offer somebody to kick me in the head every time I hear news about the Twilight franchise. Sure, it's a hefty price to pay for eternal migraines and a skull as mailable as Jello pudding, but at least I would have sweet, sweet silence.
