As I write this I'm stuck at an airport waiting for a delayed flight back to snow-ridden New York, so I could use this pick-me-up as much as anyone. Leandro Copperfield, that wonderful man, has put together a montage of some of the most beautiful, awe-inspiring and emotional moments in Pixar's filmography, set to the haunting and rhythmic song "Intro" by the XX, the familiar-from-Wall-E "La Vie En Rose" sung by Louis Armstrong, Peter Gabriel's "Down to Earth" (also from Wall-E), and of course Randy Newman's "You've Got A Friend In Me." . The moments range from the iconic ones of simple beauty-- the balloons spilling out of Carl's house in Up, the turtles swimming in the stream in Finding Nemo, Sulley's amazed face in Monster's Inc.-- to the hilarious-- Spanish Buzz in Toy Story 3, the arrival of Bruce in Finding Nemo, the mere appearance of Edna Mode from The Incredibles.

Odds are if you have a single favorite moment from the Pixar filmography, it's in there-- mine would be Wall-E and Eve's galactic dance, and it manages to make me tear up even in this montage format. Just, y'know, watch it. Learn more about Copperfield and his other mash-ups at his official website.
