Vince Vaughn and Will Ferrell definitely have a proclivity towards working together. Between Old School, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, Wedding Crashers and Starsky & Hutch, the two comedians have shared plenty of time on-screen. And today we've learned that they're about to add to that total.

The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Vaughn has joined the cast of Daddy's Home, the new comedy from director Etan Cohen that already has Ferrell attached to star. The script is about "a mild-mannered radio executive" (Ferrell) who wants to be the best stepfather he can be to his wife's children. This becomes complicated when their deadbeat biological father (Vaughn) returns and forces the protagonist to fight for the kids' affection.

While the movie will be Cohen's directorial debut, he has had a solid career in Hollywood with the pen. His previous feature credits include Idiocracy, Tropic Thunder, Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa, and, most recently, Men in Black 3. Paramount is producing the film and plans to have production start some time this fall. There is no currently release date.

Vaughn will soon be seen reuniting with another Wedding Crashers co-star as Shawn Levy's The Internship will be in theaters on June 7th. Later this year he will also be seen in the Ken Scott-directed comedy Delivery Man, a remake of a French Canadian comedy about a sperm donor who winds up fathering hundreds of children. He is also attached to star in the "high-concept comedy" Business Trip, which is based on a script by Steve Conrad.
