Last we heard about Walter Hill's next project with Sylvester Stallone, the film was titled Headshots and Tom Jane had been fired because producer Joel Silver and his Dark Castle shingle wants the film to be an interracial buddy flick. Today the film underwent some changes, namely that it apparently lost its name and it added a new cast member.

Variety reports that Sung Kang has landed a "key supporting role" in the project, which is currently untitled. In the film, a New Orleans hitman, played by Stallone, teams up with a cop from New York so that they can hunt down the killers of their respective partners. Kang was most recently seen in Justin Lin's Fast Five, reprising his role from The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift and Fast & Furious, but also had roles in Ninja Assassin, Live Free or Die Hard and War. The movie is scheduled to go into production this month in Louisiana.

I must admit to being curious about the title situation. Headshots is actually a pretty cool title and it's a shame that they would get rid of it. The situation does force me to wonder if they are changing the projects name in order to duck all of the bad press coming from the Tom Jane situation. It's unlikely, but still entirely possible.
