Sam Worthington steps out onto the ledge this Friday night when Asger Leth’s Man on a Ledge arrives in theaters. In anticipation of the film, Summit released this extended preview, which takes us through some of the set-up for the story, including Nick Cassidy’s climb out onto the ledge and what comes after.

If you’ve seen the trailer for Man on a Ledge, it’s likely you have a general idea of what the film is about. Sam Worthington plays a wanted criminal who eventually becomes a man on the ledge of a very tall building. But we soon see that there’s more at work than just a man possibly considering taking his own life.

Like the trailer, the above video seems to sell the idea that Worthington’s character’s situation out on that ledge is part of some bigger scheme, possibly to clear his name. Whether or not the film delivers as the suspenseful thriller it’s advertising, remains to be seen. Would it be going too far to predict at least one almost-fall moment, complete with bits of crumbling cement falling from the ledge and shattering on the pavement below?
