Watch Ryan Gosling Get Embarrassed By A Dishtowel With His Face On It

One of the trickier aspects of being an entertainment reporter is when you have to interview an actor/director/writer for a movie that is pretty terrible. Everyone has their own way of dealing with this professionally awkward situation. Many plaster on a smile and plow ahead as if The Last Airbender is on the level of Schindler's List. Some pepper their interview with questions that wink at the reader, recognizing the movie's apparent weak spots. And others veer the interview into totally off-the-rails terrain to provide something worthwhile.
This last option is what Rotten Tomatoes' Grae Drake went with when she spoke with Ryan Gosling about Ruben Fleischer's critically panned Gangster Squad. And the results are absolutely sensational. Check it out below: "It's like looking at the sun. I can't stare directly at it." First off, in case you want a Ryan Gosling dish towel of your very own, here's the link to make that happen. Made by Dear Colleen, this 100% cotton tea towel is professionally screen printed with three faces of Ryan Gosling: Ryan the Hipster (breaking up fights, glasses wearin' Ryan), Classic Ryan (a la Drive), and Ryan The Charmer (the strange smiling one). It's like the towel itself reads: "What's better than Ryan Gosling? Three Ryan Goslings." Obviously. Regarding the video, I'm totally on board with how quickly Drake goes from asking about stage combat (or screen combat) to traveling down the rabbit hole of discussing literal periphery distractions. But the ballsiest move is definitely that she brought that dishtowel to the interview. Sitting on it (both literally and figuratively) just in case the opportunity to unfurl it presented itself. Thank you Grae Drake, because this is clearly why the internet exists. For moments like this one. You had me at "I bought two!" Back to top
