BREAKING MOVIE NEWS
To the mounting fandemonium and discussion of Guardians of The Galaxy, I offer my GIF review, charting the highs and lows of this wild ride.
What follows is a diary of my reactions (and overreactions) watching Dawn of the Planet of the Apes be warned: SLIGHT SPOILERS LIE AHEAD!
I wouldn't have to bite my lip when the urge to sing along with Elsa, Anna, Olaf and Kristoff hit me. I could really let it go. And when I did, I discovered a cinematic experience unlike any I had had before.
As I shrieked with joy and shock throughout Thor: The Dark World, it seemed a good time to turn to GIFs, but then a special guest dropped by offering his unique and intimate perspective on the latest adventures of the brothers out of Asgard.
I had heard over and over on my set visit that White House Down's race from script to screen was a testament to James Vanderbilt's screenplay, and now I see why. Every setup from the first act has found payoffs, and satisfying ones at that!
I was optimistic that the third and final installment of this raunchy boys-will-be-boys franchise might turn it around by finding a fresh way to make the Wolf Pack unpredictable and hilarious once more. After all, I enjoy the leads, and this adventure—as I'd seen in the many, many trailers—boasts appearances from the wonderfully funny Melissa McCarthy and John Goodman.
When I attended an advance screening for G.I. Joe: Retaliation, my expectations were pretty low. Guys, I was in no way prepared for the insanity and awesomeness that played out before my very eyes over the next 110 minutes.
I was so excited for the fifth installment of the Die Hard franchise that I pre-offered to pen a piece on why it is the second best of the series, sight unseen. But then I saw it. And...plans changed. I had so many feelings watching the latest adventure of John McClane that there was really only one way to aptly unfold them. And so I present my GIF diary.
