Kevin Durand and Atom Egoyan must have got along famously on the set of the upcoming West Memphis 3 drama Devil's Knot, because the film isn't even out yet and the duo is already set to work together again. The X-Men Origins: Wolverine star is the latest actor to sign on for Queen of the Night, the upcoming thriller already set to star Ryan Reynolds, Mireille Enos, Scott Speedman, Rosario Dawson and Alexia Fast.
Queen of the Night sounds like a vampire movie, and given Hollywood’s penchant for bloodsuckers it’s easy to see why one might be swayed into thinking that was its intent. Instead, it’s a missing-child thriller from acclaimed Canadian filmmaker Atom Egoyan, and it just added a stellar leading lady to its growing ensemble
Mireille Enos and Scott Speedman are best known for their respective work on the small screen, but now they're making the jump to features. The two actors are the latest performers to join the cast of Queen of the Night, joining Ryan Reynolds. The thriller follows a father (Reynolds) who has for eight years has been forced to spent eight years trying to get over his daughter's abduction and assumed death.
Despite fame that comes from movies like Green Lantern or even this year's Safe House, Reynolds has a history with indies, including Chaos Theory, which was shot back in Vancouver. He also hasn't quite recovered publicly from the one-two flops Green Lantern and The Change-Up last summer
