This weekend saw a strong finish to September as Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs 2 snagged a strong first place, banking $35 million. That's a step up from the first mutated food adventure which had an opening weekend of $30 million in 2009.
Metallica fans who aren't able to get to one of the metal band's concerts this summer won't be completely out of luck if they want an audible and visual Metallica feast. Coming to theaters this fall is Metallica Through The Never, a music-driven feature film that combines a narrative with live performance footage, which was filmed exclusively for the movie. The new trailer gives us a look at both sides of the movie, with teases of "Wherever I May Roam" and "Master of Puppets" and glimpses of the story that will play out between concert footage.
Picturehouse, the specialty film production house formed by New Line Cinema and HBO Films, didn't have a very long lifespan. First created back in 2005, their debut release being Gus Van Sant's Kurt Cobain study Last Days, the venture only lasted three years before closing its doors.
