The Purge: Anarchy Trailer Burns, Shoots And Drives Over Everything In Sight
Here we have Frank Grilloís mysterious character, who is mourning the loss of his son (presumably) and wants to get some kind of revenge. Of course, the only time he can do that is when the New Founders of America commemorate the nationwide 24 hours of mayhem by closing down shop and allowing America to turn on itself.
The Purge: Anarchy Trailer Has Zach Gilford Stuck Outside As The Purge Begins
As promised, The Purge 2 trailer has arrived, along with confirmation of the official title for the film, The Purge: Anarchy. Universal has this labeled as a teaser trailer, and while it clocks in at about a minute and a half, its emphasis on the start of the annual Purge does lean more toward teaser.
The Purge 2 Trailer Is Coming, Creepy Image Tells You To Prepare
Lock the doors. Sharpen your weapons or find a bunker or panic room. Make sure no potential enemies are lingering within your vicinity because The Purge 2 is coming. And coming sooner, the trailer, which apparently arrives tomorrow, according to the creepy image shared by Universal's Horror Twitter handle along with the warning, "Prepare for the next Purge." Hashtag: survive the night.
The Purge Sequel Gets A Title, Teaser Trailer Arriving Tomorrow
Watching the first film, my mind kept wandering to what was happening in less affluent areas where people didn't have money to fund massive home security systems? Well, that is exactly what The Purge: Anarchy is all about.
The Purge 2 Plot Details Emerge And Are Promptly Beaten To Death
In the case of James DeMonacoís upcoming The Purge 2, he could just show footage of someone drawing a mean personís face on an Etch a Sketch and everyone would be just as pleased. Fortunately, the filmís first quasi-synopsis has surfaced from one of its stars, and it sounds like theyíre taking the (gulp) franchise in the right direction. Namely out into the world and far away from Max Burkholderís Charlie Sandin, the dumbest film character of 2013.
The Purge 2 Adds Michael K. Williams, Zach Gilford And More
They all join the previously cast Frank Grillo (The Grey), which technically gives this film more star power than the first film, in which Ethan Hawke was the only redeeming value. Returning writer-director James DeMonaco really needs to trim a lot of fat off of this premise if he expects audiences to make this sequel as big a success as its predecessor. (The Purge earned $89 million on a $3 million budget.)
The Purge 2 Will Wreak Havoc With Returning Writer-Director James DeMonaco
DeMonaco will also be penning the script to the follow-up, which Platinum Dunes will also be returning to produce. That isnít surprising, since The Purgeís international theatrical run took in over $87 million on a budget that hovered around $3 million. Iím honestly surprised that a dozen other production companies didnít try to get involved for this. I guess itís still early going.
