Will Spider-Man Fight In Avengers: Infinity War? A New Clue Just Dropped

Tom Holland Spider-Man

From an outsider's perspective, it seems like a no-brainer. Marvel and Sony finally started playing nice, allowing Spider-Man to swing into the Marvel Cinematic Universe for Captain America: Civil War and this summer's Spider-Man: Homecoming. Why wouldn't the web-headed wall-crawler be allowed to participate in the superhero all-star extravaganza, Avengers: Infinity War? Almost everyone in the MCU is expected to be around, and Spidey's a natural fit, right? Only, complicated studio deals means that Spider-Man is really only being used by Marvel on a case-by-case basis, and we didn't know if Avengers was going to be that case... though now we may have an idea.

Tom Holland reportedly was interviewed by Vogue, in an interview that's only presented in Italian. In a series of Tweets, a Tom Holland fan site has translated the text, and come to the conclusion that the actor indeed will be in Avengers: Infinity War, fighting alongside Captain America, Thor, Iron Man and the rest of Marvel's mightiest heroes.

Is that Tom Holland telling Vogue that he's going to be in multiple Marvel movies, including Avengers: Infinity War? Again, it makes total sense. Everyone involved with Spider-Man: Homecoming is playing it very safe, saying that they are waiting to see how audiences respond to the new version of Spidey before they act hasty and wedge the classic Marvel hero into numerous MCU adventures. Only, we no sooner saw the trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming (shared below) then Sony and Marvel dated a sequel for Tom Holland's wall-crawler. We had heard that the general plan was to make one Spider-Man movie for every year that Peter (Holland) would be in high school. That's ambitious. But if Harry Potter could pull it off...

As we reported earlier, Tom Holland's name was noticeably absent on a casting call for Joe and Anthony Russo's Avengers: Infinity War. And there certainly won't be a lack of heroes on the big screen. Brie Larson's Captain Marvel is expected to make her debut in the action adventure, which also is expected to bring the Guardians of the Galaxy into the fold, and mash them together with existing, earthbound heroes like Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), Cap, Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) and so many more. Will Spidey be part of that mix? Italian Vogue thinks so... and truthfully, so do we.
