New Logan Plot Synopsis Reveals 4 Important Details

Logan is a major milestone for the X-Men movie franchise. Not only will it be the last time Hugh Jackman plays Wolverine, but following in Deadpool's footsteps, it will also be the clawed mutant's first R-rated adventure. We already have a pretty good idea of what to expect from Logan thanks to a basic plot synopsis, reports and two trailers, but with only a month left until the movie's release, some new information has been revealed.

UPDATE: The Synopsis provided by the Berlin International Film Festival was incorrect. The correct synopsis is below:

In the near future, a weary Logan cares for an ailing Professor X in a hide out on the Mexican border. But Logan's attempts to hide from the world and his legacy are up-ended when a young mutant arrives, being pursued by dark forces.

Hugh Jackman Logan

So, what do we know about Logan, in general? Directed by James Mangold, Logan is expected to to be Hugh Jackman's final stunt in the role of the mighty Marvel mutant. The plot is borrowing a few elements from the classic graphic novel, Old Man Logan. But it's also reinventing the character, exploring what it must be like to be an aging superhero who is contending with a legacy that has been perpetrated by comic books, which have warped people's realities.

The movie co-stars Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Richard E. Grant, Boyd Holbrook, Stephen Merchant, and Dafne Keen. We expect it to introduce X-23 into the X-Men universe, where she'll possibly pick up the baton dropped by Jackman and his clawed hero. The future looks bright for Fox's mutant universe, even if Jackman is walking into the sunset.
