How You Can Watch The Godfather Reunion Streaming

the godfather tribeca film festival

Movies fans in the know may already have learned that the Tribeca Film Festival will be hosting a very special panel this year. We've known for a while that the event "Closing Night: The Godfather and The Godfather Part II Discussion" would be a big deal at the festival, and tickets to Radio City Music Hall have already sold out for the panel. However, we have great news. If you didn't get tickets to the "once in a lifetime" experience, the Tribeca Film Festival has signed on with Facebook Live to bring some of its biggest panels to life via streaming. This includes the sure-to-be epic The Godfather and The Godfather Part II discussions.

So, when can you stream it? The festival said today that the panel will start at 8:10 p.m. ET on April 29 and will be streamed via Facebook on the festivals page. The panel will come after back-to-back showings of The Godfather and The Godfather Part II, so if you really want to be up with everyone at the panel, you should probably plan to binge those movies sometime ahead of time. As for the panel itself, Tribeca says that the 45th anniversary panel will feature a slew of incredible names, including director Francis Ford Coppola and actors Al Pacino, James Caan, Robert Duvall, Diane Keaton, Talia Shire, and Robert De Niro. Director Taylor Hackford has already been signed on to moderate the panel, as well.

The Godfather panels aren't the only ones that will be streamed via Facebook Live. There will also be a slew of other TV, movies and even retrospective panels available. You can take a look at the full list of events that will be streamed live from Tribeca, below.

In the past, these panels have not often been made available for fans who didn't pay for the event, but with the advent of better streaming options, this sort of thing is becoming more common, as evidenced by what we saw at Star Wars Celebration in Orlando this past week. It's nice that fandoms will be able to tune in for various TV and movies panels and Tribeca Film Festival this year, although it seems clear that the anniversary Godfather panel should bring the most eyeballs. Be sure to check the festival out at the end of the month.
