Watch This Adorable 8-Year-Old Interview Steve Carell For Despicable Me 3

It might not be the most prestigious animated franchise out today, but if Despicable Me can be credited for anything, it's that it has the cuteness factor on lockdown. Cuteness fuels at least 70% of the Minions obsession, and it's helped the series get to Despicable Me 3, which is out at the end of June. The stars of the movie are busy doing press, and nothing gets you through the humdrum of a press junket then one of the interviewers being your target audience. Watch this adorable eight-year-old girl interview Steve Carell and Kristen Wiig.

The geniuses over at King5 decided to send young Mae Piercy, the eight-year-old daughter of one of their reporters, to interview the cast of Despicable Me 3. After getting to pal around with some Minions, the intrepid junior reporter got busy feeding Steve Carell and Kristen Wiig some hard-hitting questions. Their fans want to know: what chores would they have the Minions do for them? Both of the actors agreed (correctly) that cleaning dishes is the worst chore, especially, according to Carell, when the macaroni n' cheese just sets there are on the plate and then it's all hard and crusty.

Mae Piercy has to politely disagree. Folding laundry is the chore that she'd delegate to the Minions. Another time-consuming chore to be sure and Wiig points out that the Minions probably wouldn't be very good at it. The Minions aren't very competent at anything they do, but they are free help, so you get what you pay for. It's an adorable interview, so hopefully it spreads a little cheer! Children make everything better (except riding airplanes and dining at restaurants).

Despicable Me 3 finds ex-supervillain Gru out of a job after being fired from the Anti-Villian League. It doesn't help matters much when he's reunited with his long-lost twin brother Dru, who's hoping to get into the villainy game himself. The two brothers bond over some villainous hijinks while Balthazar Bratt, a former child-star obsessed with the 1980s, forms his own plans to take over the world. And the Minions finally go to prison and form that chain gang they've always been talking about.

The threequel is directed by Pierre Coffin and Kyle Balda, and co-directed by Eric Guillon, with a screenplay written by Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio. Despicable Me 3 features the voices of Steve Carell, Kristen Wiig, Trey Parker, Miranda Cosgrove, Steve Coogan and Jenny Slate.

Despicable Me 3 is set to hit theaters on June 30.
