Resident Evil: Retribution Adds Oded Fehr, Johann Urb, And Kevin Durand

The cast of Resident Evil: Retribution just keeps getting bigger and what's more is that it looks as though it will be some sort of strange franchise reunion. In addition to Milla Jovovich, who will once again be playing Alice, Michelle Rodriguez, Sienna Guillory, Colin Salmon, Shawn Roberts and Boris Kodjoe will be making their comeback. But if you think that's going to be it, you're sadly mistaken.

Deadline reports that Oded Fehr, Johann Urb, and Kevin Durand have all lined up parts in the new movie. While the movie will be a return to the franchise for Fehr, who played Carlos Olivera in both Resident Evil: Extinction and Resident Evil: Apocalypse, Urb and Durand are both newcomers. While latter's role is unknown, the former will be playing the leader of the Resistance that teams up with Alice to take down the Umbrella Corporation. Few specific details are known about the movie, but production will be setting up in Tokyo. Directed and written by Paul W.S. Anderson, Resident Evil: Retribution is scheduled to hit theaters on September 14, 2012.

Though I'm not a huge fan of the franchise, I can't help but be curious about how the plot of this new movie will shake out. The cast is comprised of characters introduced at totally different stages and some of them even had grisly, awful deaths (I'm looking at you, Michelle Rodriguez). Could they be pulling a Fast and the Furious and be moving the fifth installment to an earlier point in the timeline? At this point it's all a mystery.
