It may come as a surprise, but the Resident Evil franchise is one of the longest currently running in Hollywood today. Starting in 2002, they've made three films in the year since and have been hard at work on the fifth installment: Resident Evil: Retribution. The newest movie isn't due out until September, meaning that we still have a good amount of time to wait until we see a full theatrical trailer, but today G4's Attack of the Show premiered the first teaser trailer and now it's online.

Thanks to the short run time there isn't really much to comment on here, but did anyone else notice that it uses one of Daft Punk's songs from the Tron Legacy soundtrack. I could be wrong, but that sure sounds a lot like "Recognizer."

Directed by Paul W.S. Anderson, Resident Evil: Retribution once again features Alice (Milla Jovovich) fighting back against the evil Umbrella Corporation and battling hordes of the undead. The movie is being seen as a reunion of sorts, as it's bringing back some old cast members while also introducing new ones, such as Kevin Durand, Michelle Rodriguez, Jason Isaacs, Sienna Guillory, Oded Fehr, Jhann Urb, Shawn Roberts and Boris Kodjoe. The movie arrives in theaters on September 14th.
