Paul Bettany Says He's Never Seen Any Of The Iron Man Films

He may not play a role as big as Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, or Chris Hemsworth, but Paul Bettany is certainly a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In Iron Man, Iron Man 2 and The Avengers he provides the voice of Jarvis, Tony Stark's digital assistant, and while fans may love the part, apparently the actor feels zero connection to it at all- to the point where he hasn't even bothered to see the first two movies.

Bettany recently revealed to Digital Spy in an interview that his connection to the work at Marvel Studios is so minimal that he actually feels like he's stealing from them. "I feel like a pirate, he told the site. "This is robbery. I walk in, I say some lines on a piece of paper for two hours, and then they give me a bag of money and I leave and I go about my day." Apparently he occasionally has fans come up to him and ask about Jarvis, but he's left befuddled because he doesn't know anything about the series. "I'm plagued by fanboys who love Jarvis... They come up and I've got no idea what they're talking about. I've got no idea about Iron Man." He added, "I don't get sent the whole script."

You can watch Bettany talk about the Marvel movies in the video below.

At the start of the video Bettany says that he's not working on Iron Man 3, but I think what he means is that he's not working on Iron Man 3 right at this moment. Obviously he doesn't have a lot of great stuff to say about the character and the Marvel universe, but I can't imagine that he'd give up the job.

Iron Man 3 will be in theaters on May 3, 2013, and if you want to get a sneak peek at the first trailer head over HERE and like the official Facebook page!
