Exclusive Now You See Me Blu-ray Bonus Clip Talks Magic

We are just one day away from the Now You See Me Digital release and we are less than a week away from the fun summer movie’s Blu-ray and DVD release, which will hit shelves on September 3. To celebrate the movie, Lionsgate Home Entertainment has graciously extended us an exclusive Blu-ray clip from the set, which gets into the magical minds of some of the actors in the film.

In the clip, actors like Isla Fisher, Mark Ruffalo, Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco and more speak out about their experiences with magic, and especially, the magic on set. The segment is pretty carefully put together, with plenty of cut-tos that allow us to hear from the perspectives of many of the people involved in the film in just over 45 seconds. Fans of the movie will also notice a few snippets from the film itself.

My favorite portion of the video comes when Ruffalo talks about how he “never sees people turn into six-year-olds quicker” than when they are introduced to new magic. Harrelson also mention the “sense of wonderment” people get around magic, which leads me to believe this was a pretty common reaction people had during the shooting of the film. Plus, if you turn into a kid when you see magic yourself, there’s plenty of small moments featuring tricks during the segment.

Now You See Me is a fun movie to watch and it makes sense that it was also a fun movie to film. The above clip isn’t the only bonus feature that will be available with the film. Blu-ray copies will also include an extended director’s cut, audio commentary, more featurettes and deleted scenes. You can check out the full list of extras or pre-order the set over at Amazon or keep an eye out for the August 30 Digital release, which will also be available via the outlet.

The film stars Harrelson, Fisher, Franco and Eisenberg as four magicians with unique skills sets who combine those skills sets to put on tour de force shows that include crimes that stump the police. Throughout these misadventures, the magicians have a slew of police officers on their trails, and they’ll have to use some unique disappearing acts to evade the police. If you haven’t caught the movie, the home entertainment release might be a good time to catch it, as director Louis Letterier is already working on a sequel.
