Watch The Original Jasmine Belt Out Aladdin's A Whole New World

What does the (singing) voice of Aladdin's Jasmine sound like today? Pretty fantastic, which should come as no surprise to those who already know that Lea Salonga's still got it. The video below shows singer and stage performer Lea Salonga delivering a performance of Aladdin's "A Whole New World" with IL Divo. It's pretty perfect...

Via KickerDaily, the above video was posted back in April, but has begun to go viral this week as Lea Salonga performs with Il Divo for her European tour, which got started late last month. The 43-year-old singer and actor proves her voice is still as incredible as ever as she belts out Jasmine's part of "A Whole New World." Salonga sang the role of Jasmine in the 1992 film, and later returned to Disney to sing for Mulan.

This isn't the first time Lea Salonga has dipped into the Disney vault on stage. Here she is singing Mulan's "Reflection" at the 2011 D23 Expo...

While Salonga sang the voice of Aladdin's Jasmine and Mulan's Fa Mulan, she wasn't technically the voice actor for either role -- those credits go to Linda Larkin and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Ming-Na Wen respectively. On the acting side of things, Salonga is likely far better known for her impressive Broadway credits, including the lead role of Kim in Miss Saigon and then the part of Eponine in Les Miserables. And she took on the role of Fantine for the Les Miserables 25th Anniversary concert in 2010...

These days, she continues to put her voice to good use, often on stage, as evidenced above.

Lea Salonga isn't the only Broadway star who put her vocals to good use at Disney. Idina Menzel -- known for playing Maureen in Rent and Elphaba in Wicked, among other roles -- delivered a pretty phenomenal voice performance as Elsa in Frozen.

And now I'm wish-casting Idina Menzel and Lea Salonga in the same Disney musical. Singing together. C'mon Disney, work your magic.
