Firefighters Created A Badass Fantastic Four Human Torch, Watch Him Fly

Later this week, Josh Trank and Michael B. Jordan will try to convince us that a man can engulf his body in flames and fly when The Human Torch soars through the latest Fantastic Four. Before that happens, though, you can watch a "real" Human Torch take to the skies over New York in this impressive video:

The firefighters in the video actually collaborated with Thinkmodo, a marketing agency who recruited the Long Island civil servants to control this bit of dangerous Fantastic Four promotion. According to Yahoo Movies, Thinkmodo worked with the crew to control the environment and send a drone designed to look like The Human Torch into the sky. They even called him Johnny:

And cleverly put "Flame On!" on the remote-control device:

Flame On

And when he took off, it looked like this!

Flying

My favorite part of the video is when the team put the new logo from Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four movie on the site. That’s when I realized this is official promotion for the film, and Thinkmodo co-founder Michael Krivicka did tell Yahoo:

We were able to dress up the surrounding buildings on fire, and write the ‘4’ from the movie’s logo on fire on the ground. It was cool as hell."

But why tell you, when I can show you?

Fantastic Four opens in theaters on August 7. You will believe that a man covered in flames can fly.
