Hero Blend #77: Our Big Expectations For Doctor Strange

Doctor Strange has been a project developing at Marvel Studios for quite some time now. Studio President Kevin Feige revealed back in 2008 that a movie about the Sorcerer Supreme was being developed, and while it obviously took a few years to make it happen, now it finally is. Principle photography begins on the 2016 blockbuster this month – and it’s easily one of our most anticipated Phase Three movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Director Scott Derrickson is taking the helm on the project, and he has put together one hell of an ensemble cast – which not only includes star Benedict Cumberbatch in the titular role, but also Tilda Swinton, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams, Michael Stuhlbarg, and possibly Mads Mikkelsen. Obviously that list of names raises our expectations significantly – but what is it exactly what we want out of the Doctor Strange movie? That’s the subject of this week’s Hero Blend.

Joining me this week for a fun chat is the always-awesome Roth Cornet from HitFix, who joins me in having some very clear expectations for the new Marvel film. Enjoy the show!
