Ever since George Lucas went back and tinkered with the original Star Wars trilogy, the debate about whether or not Han Solo shot first has raged. Perhaps more important than whether or not Han was the one who fired on Greedo in the cantina on Tatooine, is how many times he’s fired last. And he’s had the last word in blaster battles a lot, like a crazy number of times. If you need further proof, look no further than this supercut of all the people Han Solo has killed over the course of his time in the Star Wars saga.
Told you Han Solo has killed a lot of people. Sure, most of them are villains, stormtroopers, and all around bad dudes, but as you can see in this video from Mr. Sunday Movies, he has accumulated quite an impressive body count over the course of A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, and Star Wars: The Force Awakens. And he may be dead now, lightsabered through the heart by his own son, but we’re sure that when the as-yet-untitled young Han Solo movie from Phil Lord and Chris Miller hits in 2018, he’ll have ample opportunity to add to this total.
At the end of the video, we’ve got a total of 42 corpses that came courtesy of Han Solo. And before you get your knickers all twisted, there is a note below that specifically states why they chose to include Boba Fett among this number. Sure, in the Expanded Universe he managed to escape the Sarlacc pit, but as the EU has officially been scrapped, his fate remains up in the air, though there have been hints about him in some of the new canon material. But for the purposes of this video, he counts as a cadaver.
At this point we still don’t know who will play young Han Solo, though names who are reportedly on the shortlist include Miles Teller, Emory Cohen, Jack Reynor, and more—basically any handsome, up and coming young actor in Hollywood has been mentioned for the part. There have been rumors that Han could show up in Star Wars: Rogue One when it hits theaters on December 16 of this year, but as we still don’t know who will win the role, not to mention the fact that it takes place very close to A New Hope time wise, it doesn’t seem all that likely.
