If you’ve ever wanted to live in a tower that you were just positive was about to fall any second then Swiss architects Herzog and de Meuron are ready to make you a happy person. The people who built the intriguing Birds Nest stadium in Beijing have unveiled plans today for a new tower in NYC. From the concept images released it could really be the new identifying feature of New York’s infamous skyline.

2008 Beijing Olympics Most Viewed Event In US TV History

There isn’t much I can say about the Closing Ceremony of the Olympics other than “wow.” Loved the fireworks. Loved the transforming double-decker bus and if someone told me that whole portion of the ceremony with that tower and the people crawling and running all over it was animated or somehow a trick (or some secret Chinese magic), I’d probably believe them. Truly amazing.

Look, we can joke all day about Commie China and the Beijing Olympics. It’d be tired and not all that funny. It was, to say the least, one of the most epic and inspirational ceremonies the games have seen in modern times…if not ever.
