Locke & Key Is Happening As A Screenwriter Is Hired
Albert Torres has officially been hired to adapt the award-winning comic book series Locke & Key into a thrilling screenplay for Universal. Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman are producing the project along with Bobby Cohen (Now You See Me) and Ted Adams, CEO and publisher of IDW Publishing, which released the comics.

Locke & Key Movie Rights Picked Up At Universal
Whether or not Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez's popular comic book series Locke & Key ever makes it to the screen remains to be seen, but if it doesn't, it won't be for lack of trying or interest. Rights to the series were originally acquired at Dimension Films, but then lost to Dreamworks where Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci eventually tried to adapt it for television.

Locke & Key Pilot May Not See The Light of Day But Here's The Trailer
I was pretty excited when I heard that Mark Romanek would be directing the pilot for Fox's adaptation of Joe Hill's Locke & Key series. Romanek is best known for his work in the music video world creating memorable work like the Nine Inch Nails' "Closer" video. He's a pretty adept feature director too with his two films, One Hour Photo and Never Let Me Go, being equally haunting and exquisite. Then the bad news hit, the show was not picked up.
