The Cord Cutter Podcast #8: The Defenders

Welcome to the eighth edition of The Cord Cutter Podcast! Join Mick and Adrienne as they bring back CinemaBlend Events Editor Eric Eisenberg to discuss The Defenders now that the Marvel team-up has finally hit Netflix. When Marvel first revealed their plan to bring some street level heroes to Netflix, there wasn't just excitement over the fact that Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones and Iron Fist were coming to the streaming service in their own shows. The really big news was that these heroes, who, for the most part, hadn't been in live action before, would be teaming up to save New York from a much bigger threat than any of them could handle alone in The Defenders.

Well, now that all the Marvel fans have had a chance to devour the whole series, it's time to get into the nitty gritty and dissect our thoughts on The Defenders. Was the team up worth the wait? Is Alexandra a formidable foe? Is there time for Claire Temple to make out with Matt Murdock and Luke Cage? Does Jessica Jones have enough quips to really lighten the mood? Do all the sidekicks get a chance to shine? And, most importantly, will Danny Rand finally stop being disappointing? Ready to dive in? Great! Read on to get the lowdown on this week's podcast and then listen for yourself above!
