Real World's Joey Kovar Gone At 29
Joey Kovar, best known for his stint on Real World: Hollywood was discovered by a female friend this morning, bleeding and lifeless. The unidentified woman called authorities immediately, but by the time they arrived, nothing could be done. The reality star was just twenty-nine, and given his long history with drugs, many suspect the cause will prove to be an overdose.
The energetic, aspiring actor famously left the Real World house partway through his season in order to check into rehab. Tears were shed, but the treatment never quite took. Kovar later appeared on Celebrity Rehab, but obviously, not enough forward progress could be made.
According to TMZ, Kovar’s passing has been confirmed by his representative who revealed his client was found in the suburbs of Chicago. Beyond that, few details are known. They’ll likely trickle out over the next few days, but regardless of what they reveal, the reality star’s loss will still be felt by those who loved him most.
Kovar had a big smile and a big heart. He had the best of intentions but never could quite overcome his demons. Pop Blend sends out its sincerest well-wishes to his friends and family. His presence will be missed.
