Nick And Vanessa Lachey Welcome A Son

Nick and Vanessa Lachey are the proud parents of a baby boy. The television host delivered the couple’s first child yesterday evening a little before seven, and by all accounts, it went swimmingly. The little guy weighed in at eight pounds, nine ounces and measured out at twenty-one inches long.

As for the name, the Lachey’s went with Camden John, which, if you follow celebrity baby news, probably sounds familiar. Just over a month ago, Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler named their son Camden Jack. Apart from the connection to the rather dangerous city, it’s a pretty beautiful name, and it wouldn’t be surprising if it only got more popular from here.

The Lachey’s took to E! News to announce the birth and offer the few details that are out there. You can take a look at their full statement below…

"We are incredibly proud to announce the birth of our beautiful baby boy, Camden John Lachey. Born today at 6:54 p.m., he came into this world at 8 pounds, 9 ounces and 21 inches. Love has truly been redefined for both of us."

The famous pair have been very open about their desire to have children. Now that the day has finally arrived, it seems the joy was everything they could have possibly hoped for. Given their dedication, resources and gentle spirits, there’s no reason to think these two won’t prove wonderful parents for little Camden and anyone else who might follow in his wake.
