Is This Brooke Shields Smoking Pot With Bad Brains Frontman H.R.?

Whether or not a photograph is scandalous often depends more on who is involved than what is actually happening in the picture. Ordinarily, a decades old photograph of Bad Brains frontman H.R. smoking a little weed with a woman would hardly get a double take from anyone, but since the other woman looks a hell of a lot like Brooke Shields, the picture is both newsworthy and mesmerizingly bizarre.

The snapshot first appeared on the Internet last year but only started generating headlines earlier this week. Not surprisingly, Shields’ publicist has already denied the former model is the girl in question to E! News. I, however, am not so sure. Take a look at the evidence below…

Given the angle of her face, the time that’s passed and the closed eyes, it’s definitely possible this is merely a woman who looks like Shields. Bad Brains’ former manager, Anthony Countey, vehemently disagrees, however. He told Gawker the picture was taken in 1983 and while he refused to elaborate on why the hell H.R. and Shields were hanging out, he did say he remembers the meeting taking place.

In the grand scheme of things, it doesn’t really matter if a young Brooke Shields smoked a bit of pot, but like most people, I’d still like to think this crazy meet-up happened, if for no other reason than it makes everyone involved seem about five percent weirder.

What do you think? Is this Brooke Shields or just a lookalike? Let us know your opinion by voting in the poll below…
